Mary Louise Purdy and Michele Kipp, Graduates of Algonquin
College's Culinary Management Course, created Sweet Peas Pantry, Café
and Gifts in May 1996.After working in
many local restaurants, they finally met up at a catering company, where
they realized they had a common goal of owning their own business. Since
they both live in the country, the logical place to open an eatery was
in their own backyard. Not only are the villagers their customers, they are their neighbours. The feeling of being "at home" is overwhelming, yet comfortable, when you enter the building. Sweet Peas Pantry is a cozy café, open daily for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and take~home dinner. The pantry is full of homemade jams, jellies and creative gift ideas to pamper you. The dinning facilities can be reserved for private parties or cooking classes, including a customized menu. A series of seasonal cooking classes runs throughout the Spring and Fall. Catering is available for any special occasion. Michele & Mary Louise
